He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Gilbert, Sr. and Ruth Kite (Eichenberger); his wife Donna Evans; and his siblings, Bud, Larrell Kite, Phyllis Jackson and Melba Kite.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Kite of Wood River and Kirsten Carroccia of Batavia, IL; and his brother Gary Kite of Leadwood, MO.. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
