She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence A. Gifford and Edna M. Gifford (Bailey); and her husband William "Big Bill" Malson. She is survived by: her children, Tracy Malson of South Roxana, Stacy (George Stewart) and Jason (Meggan Malson); her grandchildren, Kloe'Mae, Jason, Autumn, Dominick and Bryan; and her brother Don G. Gifford.

In Lieu of flowers, the family has named The Kidney Foundation as a memorial.
