With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley May Schmidt of South Holland, Illinois, who passed away on December 6, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her sister Nancy Boersma Boss; and her parents, Menno Boersma and Margaret Boersma. She is survived by: her husband William Schmidt; her children, Jerry Schmidt (Dawn) and Michael Schmidt (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Steven (Jamie), Justin (Jessica), Daniel (Amanda), Drew, Robert and Jennifer Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Kaiden, Hayden, McKenzie, Kinley and Brighton; and her sister Marlene Cook (late Henry).

Memorial contributions to Boys Town are greatly appreciated.
