With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Kathryn Koster of South Holland, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Calvin Koster; her siblings, John Gilmore (Wilma) and Patricia Feddersen (Robert); and her parents, Craig Gilmore and Ruth Gilmore.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Turner (Gregory), Kathy Wagenaar, Linda Eizenga (Daniel), Wayne Koster (Holly), Janet Van Kley (Paul) and Carol Koster; and her grandchildren, Gail Walter (Terry), Christine Rosinski (Paul), Mary Anselmo (Robert), Timothy Turner (Bethany), Peter Turner (Elizabeth), Andrew Turner (Kerry), Joyce Beach (Brandon), Patricia Moldenhauer (Riley), Lisa Eizenga, Brian Eizenga, Alicia Koster, Samantha Koster, Michael Van Kley (Molly), Thomas Van Kley (Courtney) and Jessica Van Der (Alex).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Orthodox Presbyterian Church (16248 South Park Ave, South Holland, IL 60473).
