With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mable Jean Griffith of South Holland, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her spouse Heural Griffith; her son Darryl Griffith (Bonita Holt); her siblings, Velma Bell, Odessa Jackson, Retha Chestnut, Willie Brewster, Miles Brewster Jr. and Roosevelt Brewster; and her parents, Miles Kind and Nettie Brewster Sr. Kind.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Bryan Griffith, Patrick Griffith (Petronella) and Brenda Jennings (late James); her grandchildren, Aisha Griffith, Mark Jennings, Kanika Devonish (Anson), Keith Jennings, Zoe Griffith and Jared Griffith; and her great grandchildren, Ayana and Kyree Devonish.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel (649 E 162nd St, South Holland, IL 60473). A wake was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Christ Our Savior Catholic Church (880 E 154th St, South Holland, IL 60473). A burial was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (801 Michigan City Rd, Calumet City, IL 60409).
