It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lorraine Ashley of South Holland, Illinois, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Maynard Ashley; her grandchild Meaghan Ashley; her mother Stella Tsantilis; and her brother Irvin Stenzel. She is survived by: her children, Robert Ashley (Nancy), Patricia Ashley (William Mock), Donald Ashley (Lisa), James Ashley (Beth) and Barbara Ashley (Robert Seaney); her grandchildren, Colleen Taylor (Matthew), James Ashley Jr. (Amy), Nicole Quien (Michael), Michael Ashley (Jenna Gagen), Jonathan Ashley (Nellie Suto-Ashley) and Jennifer Ashley; her caregiver Heather Van Dommelen; and also, Ron and Bev Sulkowski.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel (649 E 162nd St, South Holland, IL 60473). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (649 E 162nd St, South Holland, IL 60473).
