He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius DeYoung and Anne DeYoung; and his sister Marcy Joy Moeller. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; and his sons, David DeYoung (Barb) of Waukesha, Dan DeYoung (Julie) of Evansville, Paul DeYoung (Debbie) of South Holland and Thomas DeYoung (Brenda) of Lowell. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to the South Holland Lions Club.
