She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert W. Vandemerkt; her parents, Rev. Harry and Liddy Minneman; and her sisters, Joyce Emily and Ann Suhs (Edwin).
She is survived by: her children, Christine Geisler (Daniel), Thomas Vandemerkt (late Nancy) and Susan Warner (Mark); and her sibling Jackie Buss (Eldon).
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
