It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Murphy of South Elgin, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Murphy and Hazel E. Murphy (Steinegger); his parents-in-law, Maria Eichwald and Edward Eichwald; his sister Joan Miklos; his brothers-in-law, Al Miklos and Frank Schiazzano; and his grandson Timothy.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his siblings, John (Cathleen) and Margaret; his children, Robert (Patty), Patrick (Kristi), Kathleen (Robert), Genisa (Daniel) and Carrie (Jeff); his grandchildren, Stephanie (Todd), Robert Jr. (Cassie), Samantha (Austin), Thomas, Vicki (Josh), Ricky, Norine, Felisha, Micheal, Allison, Kelsee (Steven), Karissa, Sage, Xander and Paige; his great grandchildren, Taylor (Taylor), Hunter (Kaylee), Sam (Carly), Jackie, Lily, Michael, Emma, Cooper, Cheyanne, Abbie, Logan, Kimmy, Sammy, Alex, Maddie, Makenna, Maverick, Maxtyn, Morgan and Leilani; and his great great grandchildren, Emma, Jaxon, Raylyn and Liam.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
