He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Thomson and Katherine Thomson; his sister Beverly Thomson; and his granddaughter Ally Thomson. He is survived by: his children, Jim Thomson (Tiffany) and Jennifer McCarthy (Joshua); his sister Barb Portzer; his grandchildren, Austyn Soczewa, Anastazia Soczewa, Kelsea Thomson and Conor Thomson; and his niece Stephanie Perkins.
