He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nancy Parkin; his children, Mary Reilly (Tim), John Parkin (Kiley), Jeff Parkin (Jennifer), Dan Parkin (Jaime), Jen McIlrath (Jim) and Liz Tejani (Zeeshan); his grandchildren, Katie Reilly (Rob Schaefer), Andrew Reilly, Jacob Parkin (Ashley), Nathan Parkin (Courtney), Nick Parkin, Bridgette Duty, Luke Parkin, Athena Parkin, Holly Parkin, Katie Cornet, Alex Cornet, Ainsley McIlrath, Fiona McIlrath and Inaya Tejani; his great grandchildren, Phaedra Parkin and Wyatt Parkin; and his siblings, Wayne Parkin, Rick Parkin, Susan O'Neil (Joe) and Greg Parkin (Pam). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Morizzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2550 Hassell Rd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
