He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Ortega Avila and Maria Mercedes Espinoza Sandoval. He is survived by: his children, Milca Ortega Salinas (Alfred), Jacob Ortega (Crystal), Joshua Ortega (Colleen), Camille Ortega and Jodi Ortega; his siblings, Lorenza Ortega Espinoza, Maria Guadalupe Ortega Espinoza, Mercedes Ortega Espinoza, Martina Esthela Ortega Espinoza, Cristóbal Ortega Espinoza and Clara Ortega Espinoza; and his grandchildren, Jordan Ortega, Alessandra Ortega, Jackson Taylor, Cameron Ortega, Sean Hill, Noah Hill, Kayden, Hicks, Ariah Hill and Lilliana Ortega. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Symonds-Madison Funeral Home (305 Park St, Elgin, IL 60120). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
