She was predeceased by: her grandmother Tia; her son Arnaldo Higareda Jr.; her parents, Juan Aviña and Petra Aviña Perez; her husbands, Arnaldo Higareda Sr. and Antonio Flores; and her brothers, Sergio Aviña and Rosalio Aviña.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Torres (Oscar), Candido "Ken" Higareda (Vanessa) and Jose Higareda (Margaret); her grandchildren, Marcus Torres (Amanda), Gabriella Higareda (Brett Taylor), Kirsten Hobson (Corey), Jordan Torres, Corey Higareda and Kenzie Higareda (Andrew Shy); her great grandchildren, Bella, Thalia Torres, Lucy, Logan Hobson and Theodore Higareda; and her siblings, Jose Aviña (Hermelinda), Gonzalo Aviña (Socorro), Guadalupe Aviña (Esmeralda), Frank Aviña (Elisa), Roberto Aviña (Maria), J. Luis Aviña (Josie) and Maria Aviña.
