He was predeceased by: his siblings, Robert Ohlfest, Arthur Ohlfest and Helen Studman. He is survived by: his parents, Charles Ohlfest and Alma Ohlfest; his sons, Mark Ohlfest (Soraya) of Elgin, Jeff Ohlfest of North Aurora and Steve Ohlfest (Kelli) of Wausau, WI; his grandchildren, Megan Ohlfest, Matt Ohlfest (Hallie), Mitchell Crawford and Joshua Ohlfest; his great grandchildren, Brantley Ohlfest and Scarlett Ohlfest; and his sister Velma Koopman (John).

“I am very sorry for your loss, however, I am also confused as to why neither my brother or myself are listed as surviving children of Chucks. Scott is his eldest son and Sandra is his daughter. We were not notified of his death and wonder if many of his children were even aware of our existence. I am not trying to gain anything from dad's passing other than information. It was just very hurtful to be erased from his history as though we never existed. If anyone of his other children care t.”
