He was predeceased by: his daughter Elizabeth Balassone; his siblings, Lucy Coppotelli, Anthony Balassone and John Balassone; and his parents, Carmine Balassone and Maria Balassone.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Rose Balassone; his children, Therese Kushman (Frank) and John Balassone; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Balassone, Brittany Smith (Michael), Benjamin Balassone and Patrick Kushman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smits - Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, IL 60475). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Assumption Cemetery – Glenwood (19500 Cottage Grove Ave, Glenwood, IL 60425). A burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Assumption Cemetery (19500 Cottage Grove Ave, Glenwood, IL 60425).
