He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford E. Johnson and Grace Johnson (Paulson); his brother Clifford L. Johnson; and his nephew Steven Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Marita; his sons, Christopher Johnson (Brenda), Gregory Johnson (Shannon) and Scott Johnson; his grandchildren, Tyler Johnson (Kayla Johnson), Tory Johnson (Chris), Alyssa Johnson (Jayro Montoya), Kayla Johnson (Matt Clark), Alexis Johnson and Savannah Hoy (Darein Black); his great grandchildren, Elyse Johnson, Payton Johnson, Easton Clark, Emmett Clark, Ace Montoya, Parker Johnson and Charleigh Johnson; his siblings, Gloria Brinker and Roger E. Johnson; and his sister-in-law Benita Carlson.
