He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Black, and Gertrude Black, Sr.; his siblings, Bernice Peebles and Cornelius Black Jr.; his parents-in-law, Otis and Gladys Garrett; and his brothers-in-law, Lem Peebles Sr., Laverne Bradford, Thomas Cain, John Calvin Garrett and Larry Garrett.
He is survived by: his wife Dyan Black (Garrett) of South Beloit, Illinois; his children, Santoria Frank Black II (Shantanjela) of Ruston and Christine Johnson of Beloit, Wisconsin; his siblings, Beatrice Cain of Murfreesboro, Irma Bradford of Beloit, Wisconsin, Bonnie Reneau of Beloit, Wisconsin and Otis Black (Clara) of Winter Haven, Florida; his grandchildren, Kristayvion Johnson of Ruston, Corrion Johnson of Beloit, Ky'Jirrion Johnson of Beloit, Dejorae Black of Ruston, Louisiana, Jeralyn Black of Ruston, Louisiana and Santoria Frank Black III of Ruston, Louisiana; his brothers-in-law, Otis Garrett Jr. of South Beloit, Illinois and Terry Garrett (Teena) of South Beloit, Illinois; his godson Tyler Mathews of Toledo, Ohio; and his friends, Bryson Garrett Jones and Malani Pegeese. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, cousins and friends.
