He was predeceased by: his parents, Adelbert "Del" Sumpter and Virginia Sumpter (Spilde); his brother John Wayne Sumpter; his in-laws, Frank and Muriel Stoltz; and his aunt Brittany.
He is survived by: his wife Jonni F. Stoltz; his daughters, Michelle Engel (James) and Brandi Sumpter; his grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Cory Johnson (Kayla), Miranda Johnson (Steven Lund), Juliann Aasen and Noah Aasen; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Phillips (Gary), Connie Jakaboski (Ron), Sheila Stadermann (Curt) and Deb Sumpter; his uncles, John Sumpter and Wayne Sumpter; his aunt Claudette "Corky" Borre; and his close friend Lamar Pulliam. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium (2355 Cranston Rd, Beloit, WI 53511). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Floral Lawn Cemetery (835 Dearborn Ave, South Beloit, IL 61080).
