She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Holman and Lila Kamlager (Jarvis); her sister Harriet Trimble; and her mother-in-law Virginia "Jane" Graves. She is survived by: her former husband William Swanson; her husband Harlan Wallace Southworth; her children, Mark Swanson, Kristy McDonald (Donald), Harlan Southworth (Sally), Brian Swanson (Bridgette) and Bret Swanson (Carey); her grandchildren, Alexa Girard (Jacob), Paige Swanson, Cierra Southworth, Brianne Swanson, Sam Southworth and Brynn Swanson; her great grandchildren, Everly and Jameson Girard; and her siblings, Judy Rohr and Gerald Kamlager. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

“For the Cortez family which we lived north of Carol and Harlan (neighbors), Carol always was in contact with us the children of my mom dad who still lived there. Carol and Harlan always were aware of my mom and dad’s travels and kept an eye on the house when they were away as the were snow birds traveling to Mexico. We all will miss that smiling face and great affection towards Harlan. You will be missed. Enrique Cortez and Family”
