He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Henry and Florence Gunderson (Egery); his wife Barbara Bowen; his children, Gayle Lovejoy (Jack) of Rockton, IL and Dwight Gunderson (Deb) of Beloit, WI; his grandchildren, Ryan Lovejoy (Kelly), Chad Lovejoy (Evelyn), Tyler Lovejoy (Noah Lovejoy), Jeremy Gunderson (Tara), Brandy Millen (Kent) and Rhett Gunderson (Emmi); and his siblings-in-law, Bernice Gunderson, Evie Gunderson, Sonja Pluess, Lois Hagen, Lynn Eichman and Bruce Hagen. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Berwyn's name to Hope Free Evangelical Church or Jack Lovejoy Scholarship c/o Rockton Lions Club.
