It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scott D. Abbott of Sorento, Illinois, who passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Ray Svoboda. He is survived by: his parents, J. D. Abbott and Ellen Abbott (Nee Nance) of Highland, IL; his wife Jan Abbott of Sorento, IL; his children, Michelle Rutter (Drew) of Troy, IL, Emily Shields (BeauClair) of Martinsville, IN, Courtney Abbott (Nathan Volentine) of Sorento, IL and Melody Abbott of Sorento, IL; his granddaughters, Isabelle and Eleanor Rutter; his mother-in-law Betty Svoboda; and his sister Carol Thompson (Mike) of Wright City, MO. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-laws, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
