He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Earl and Dorothy Pauline Coats (Neece); his grandson Cordell Earl Coats III; his siblings, Charles, Timothy Coats and Dorothy White; and his nephew Kelly Robinson.
He is survived by: his former wife Wilma Long; his wife Wilma Coats of Sorento, IL; his children, Deina Mossman, Sr. (Michael) of Sorento, IL, Mendy Lou Coats Jett of Litchfield, IL and Cordell Earl Coats II (Wendy) of Sorento, IL; his grandchildren, Matthew (Stephanie), Michael, Hannah Mossman, Alex, Jessica Jenkins, Les, Jennifer Jett, Mark Steele, Brittany and Kyle Coats; his great grandchildren, Tristen, Peyton Renee, Makenzy Jenkins, Serenity and Jade Mossman; and his sisters, Lula Fralicx of Parchmont, MI, Bertha Covey (Glenn) of Jacksonville, IL, Bonnie Eaton of Hillsboro, IL and Wanda Robinson.
The community is invited to join the family for a potluck, and donations of food may be made to the community center the day of the celebration.
