John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Gabrys and Mary Gabrys (Sweeney); his sister Jane Gabrys; and his father-in-law Robert Healy. He is survived by: his wife Kelly Healy of Somonauk, IL; his sons, Noah Gabrys of Somonauk, IL, Ethan Gabrys of Somonauk, IL and Maxwell Gabrys of Somonauk, IL; his siblings, Laurie Gabrys and Richard Gabrys; his mother-in-law Patricia Healy; his brothers-in-law, Shawn Healy (Janis) and Patrick Healy (Tina); his niece Jennifer; and his nephews, Austin (Lauren), Nicholas and Aiden. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or to breast cancer research.
