He is survived by: his wife Sherri (Ellington); his children, Pamela Rebhorn (Russell), Joel D. Pyle II, Travis Pyle (Sarah), Ryan Pyle (Stacy), Amber Matile (Jason) and Nikki Molitor (Greg); his siblings, Janet and John; and his grandson Nathan Pyle (Zelda).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Joel's name be directed to the American Heart Association (heart.org) or the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org).
