It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Louise Jelm of Somonauk, Illinois, born in Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on November 7, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John P. McDermott and Evelyn McDermott (Vickers); her brother John Vickers McDermott; and her children, David Jelm and Karen Gudeman.
She is survived by: her husband Doyle W. Jelm; her daughter Cheryl Powell; her son-in-law Marvin Gudeman; her grandson Brett Gudeman (Brynn); her great grandchild Brayden; and her grandson Marcus Gudeman (Jody). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church in Somonauk, IL, in Elizabeth's name.
