He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dannewitz and Lillian Dannewitz (Johnson); and his wife Joan. He is survived by: his son Larry Dannewitz (Jackie) of Sandwich, IL; his grandchildren, Lauren Hoyt (Daniel) and Andrew Dannewitz (Ashleigh); and his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Everett Dannewitz and Caden Hoyt.
