She was predeceased by: her husband Dennis M. Vander Pluym; her father Edwin (Amelia); her mother-in-law Gertrude; and her brothers-in-law, David Vander Pluym and Jerry Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Luke Vander Pluym of Chicago, IL and Jennifer Joseph (Eric) of Smithton, IL; her granddaughter Mia Joseph; her siblings, Elmer Neff (Jeannette), Ron Neff (Janelle) and Darlene Brown; her father-in-law David Vander Pluym; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Foutch (Bill), Shari Sobczak (Bob), Barb Whan (Ron Sobczak) and Shelly Langford (David). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1706 W Main St, Belleville, IL 62226).
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Friends of Rickover Naval Academy, Chicago, IL.
