He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Eskra and Ludena Reames Eskra; his uncle Eugene (Pearl); his aunt Loretta Reams Middleton; his cousin Rick Wheeler; his son-in-law Carl Hawkins; and his close friend William Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Weaver Eskra; his children, Kellie Eskra Hawkins and Scott (Sengul Eskra); his grandchildren, Erin Treff (Chris) and Devin Eskra; his great grandchild Sterling (Danielle Wannemacher); his brother Victor (Vicki Eskra); his nephew Tod Eskra (Laura); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jase and Cade; his nephew Ean Eskra (Ana); his cousins, Art Reames (Kay), Robert Reames (Lisa), Sandra Reames Wheeler, Allen Reames (Janet), Don Brewer (Roseann), Carol Brewer Whittenberg (Bill), Cheryl Brewer Wahlmeier (Bruce), Harold Brewer (Kathy), Mark Middleton, Linda Middleton Connor, Matt Middleton (Jenny) and Rick Middleton (Stephanie); and also, Emilija Eskra and Loretta Reams Middleton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a scholarship and award fund in Doug's name to support the work of young artists, just as he did in his life.
