She was predeceased by: her father Raymond S. (Margaret A.); her siblings, Kathleen Neff, Richard and Dennis Neff; and her nephew Nathan Neff.
She is survived by: her husband Terry D. Firnkes; her children, Sherry Hamilton (Robert) of Smithton, IL and Timothy Firnkes (Elizabeth) of Turner, ME; her granddaughters, Bridgett Hamilton (Zach Spitz), Chloe Hamilton and Madeline Firnkes; her siblings, Donald Neff (Rosemary), Virgil Neff, Michael Neff, Gary Neff (Kasey), Raymond D. Neff (Lizz Isenhardt) and Lori Ann Thompson (Clifford); and her sister-in-law Joyce Neff (Dan Haskenhoff).
Memorials may be made to the Liver Transplant Patient Care or to the Alzheimer's Association. According to Doris's wishes, an anatomical donation was made to Washington University School of Medicine.
