He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Yurkiw; his children, Anna Wolak (Kevin), Karen Olmetti, Doreen Melarkey and Rocco Melarkey (Kelly); his stepson Mike Yurkiv (Pamela); his grandchildren, Richard, Nicholas, Katie of Anthony, A. J., Michael, Cristofor and Joseph; his stepgrandson Michael Yurkiv; his great grandchildren, Hailey, Alexander and Brie; and his siblings, Patricia Foley (late Dave), Sheila Butler (Dennis), Michael and Joseph Melarkey. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
