He was predeceased by: his parents, Aristidis Stamatelopoulos and Dimitra Stamatelopoulos; his parent-in-law Wilmer Kerzee; and his sibling Theodosia Stamatelopoulos. He is survived by: his wife Cherie Kerzee-Stames; his children, Aleksander Stamatelopoulos (Kelly) and Demetria Stamatelopoulos; his mother-in-law Lorraine McNeeley; his siblings, Kula Geib (Anthony), Lea Stames and Ted Stames; his siblings-in-law, Ruth Kerzee (Paul Snagel), Jeanne DeBarr (David), Christy Origer and Robert Kerzee (Sherry); his child Tria; and his grandchildren, Emily and Lewis. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home (820 W Talcott Rd, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (9900 Gross Point Rd, Skokie, IL 60076).
