He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Brownstein; his son Barry Brownstein; and his brothers, Paul and Samuel Brownstein. He is survived by: his children, Richard Brownstein (Inez Ruzsa) and Rhonna Bolton; his stepchildren, Mitchell Turoff (late Arlene), Robert Turoff (Cecilia) and Janice Preston; his grandchildren, David (Kim), Robert (Brandi), Sara Brownstein, Brittany Christopher, Nathan Brownstein (Lizzy), Alison, Michael Turoff (Laura), Corey Turoff, Katie, Kristina Preston and Allison Rhoades; and his sibling Shirley Cohen.
