She was predeceased by: her husband William A. Dear; her parents, Eleanor Dwyer and Gerald Dwyer; and her siblings, Helen Nevius (V. Simpson), Geraldine Donahue (Gerald) and Robert Dwyer (Donna).

She is survived by: her children, Mary Beth Ginley (late Thomas), Kathleen Corydon (James), William Uruba (Tracey) and James Uruba; her grandchildren, Mary Colleen, Thomas (Adriana), Brian Ginley, Matthew (Jessica), Madeline Celebrezze (late Keith), John (Carrie McNally), Clare Corydon, Liam and Sean Uruba; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Ginley and Hudson Corydon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Donnellan Family Funeral Home (10045 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL 60077). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Francis Xavier Church (524 9th St, Wilmette, IL 60091).
