He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nina; his children, Anna Kreston (Alex) and Michael Golenson (Macy); his grandchildren, Alice, Adam, Alivia Kreston and Andrew Golenson; his brother Michael Galenson (Tamara); his sibling-in-law Yelena Leinov (Edward); and his nieces and nephews, Michelle Galenson, Olga Gurevich (Eugene) and Inessa Gorokhovsky (Andrew Dyminskiy).
