It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter F. Jacobs of Silvis, Illinois, born in Harris, Missouri, who passed away on September 6, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Jennie Ethel Jacobs (McCalley); his wife Irene Orkwis Tady; his former wife Helen Dennison; his children, Wanda Sutton and Kenneth Jacobs; and his brothers, Calvin, Harley, Lloyd and Tom Jacobs.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn VandeWalle, Jerry Jacobs (Mary), Guy Tady (Marsha) of Mesa, AZ, Jan Unruh (Tom) of Avon, IL and Doug Jacobs (Susan) of Newton, KS. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
