She was predeceased by: her parents, Ewald Probst and Adeline Probst (Deters); her husband Clarence L. Helmink; and her brother Danny Probst. She is survived by: her children, Karl Helmink (Susan) of Philo, IL, Joyce Flood (David) of Dieterich, Jane Helmink of Effingham, Gary Helmink (Mandi) of Galloway, OH and Dean Helmink of Sigel; her siblings, Janet Jansen (Pat), Larry Probst (Jane) and Roy Probst (Doris); and her sister-in-law Darlene Probst. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church - Lillyville (127 County Rd 100 E, Sigel, IL 62462). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (127 County Rd 100 E, Sigel, IL 62462). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church - Lillyville (127 County Rd 100 E, Sigel, IL 62462).
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church in Lillyville or Meals on Wheels.
