He is survived by: his wife Janet Deters; his children, John Hanfland (Alison) of Hebron, Andrew Hanfland of Effingham, Jennifer Weber (David) of Charleston, Robert Hanfland (Gwen Erkonen) of Houston and Maria Voelker (Cody) of Altamont, Illinois; and his siblings, William Hanfland (Linda) of Bloomington, Gerald Hanfland (Susan) of Neoga, Illinois and Linda Smithson (Steve) of Bloomington, Minnesota.
