Joan Longmire Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Longmire of Sibley, Illinois, born in Strawn, Illinois, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Joan departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joan. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Conger and Barbara Conger (Fannin); her husband James Longmire; and her siblings, Betty, Max and Russell.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Longmire (Marsha) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Rob Longmire (Cheri) of South Fulton, Tennessee, Becky Young (Rick) of Saybrook and Randy Longmire (Monica) of Chandler, Arizona..

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sibley 4th of July Celebration or to the Gibson Area Hospital-Annex Garden Fund.
