Roy Wakefield Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2020, at the age of 85, Roy Wakefield of Shumway, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ward Wakefield and Mary Wakefield; his brother Paul; and his niece Marilyn. He is survived by: his wife Marcella "Sally" Hartke; his children, Kathy Wakefield, Ron Wakefield (Karen), Nancy Thoele (Kurt), Janet Zerrusen (Kurt), Jim Wakefield (Rita) and Wes Wakefield (Amy); and his brother Carl Wakefield (Glenda). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shumway or to Catholic Charities.
