He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen W. Kyle and Bessie E. Kyle (Dial); his wife Sally L. Rand; his siblings, Patricia Kyle, Glenna Flesner (Gerald) and Royal Kyle (Lois); and his brothers-in-law, Howard Lewis, Robert Davis and Roland Durbin.

He is survived by: his children, Troy (Sheryl) of Shumway, Jason (Cheri) of Gonzales, TX, Shannon (Sheila) of Altamont and Alisia Gardner (Paul) of Shumway; and his siblings, Lloyd (Nancy) of Shelbyville, Bill (Diane) of Litchfield, Joe (Kathy) of Veedersburg, IN, Irene Lewis of Lewisville, TX, Bonnie Durbin of Pekin and Shirley Davis of Springfield. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be given to Effingham City Police K9 Fund, Effingham County K9 Fund or the Effingham County Dive Rescue Team.
