He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Bud" Helmbacher and Edna Helmbacher (Strus); his wife Mildred Faye McKinney; his son William; and his siblings, Roland Helmbacher and Phyllis Goers.
He is survived by: his children, Joanna Helmbacher and Derrick Helmbacher; his grandson Lucas; and his brother Neal Helmbacher (Carol).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (206 W Main St, Shumway, IL 62461). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
