With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVon Bayler of Shumway, Illinois, born in Olney, Illinois, who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though LaVon has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Bayler and Leona Bayler (Arnold); his former wife Mary Lou; and his son David Bayler. He is survived by: his wife Denise Morris of Shumway; his children, LaNell Bayler of Loami, Mark Bayler (Kathy) of Springfield and Angela Bayler of Seattle, WA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Whitcomb and Brad Whitcomb; and his great grandchildren, Spencer Thaxton and Hudson Whitcomb.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Beecher City United Methodist Church (606 E Poplar St, Beecher City, IL 62414). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
