He was predeceased by: his parents, John O. Newsome and Helen F. Newsome (Slezcka); his son John A. Newsome; and his brother Norman. He is survived by: his wife Helene Newsome of Shumway; his daughters, Emilie (Silas Guenther) of Edwardsville, Jeanne Wendt (Tim) of Effingham and Julie Burke (Brian) of Naperville; his brother Terrance of Chicago; and his daughter-in-law Angie Newsome of Effingham. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
