Kapper of Shumway, Illinois, born in Olney, Illinois, who passed away on May 25, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Kapper and Johanna Kapper (Dumstorf). He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Kapper of Shumway; his children, Jamie Kapper (Kaori) of Japan, Susan Gillenwater (Matthew) of Effingham, Emily Viverito (Michael) of Effingham and Jody Schumacher (Matthew) of Sigel; his grandchildren, Emma, May, Marie, Maxwell, Owen, Henry, Ainsley, Lena, Abram and Vincent; and his siblings, Janice Morgan, Mary Dowty, Marjorie Blunt, Gerald Kapper and Lester Kapper. He is also survived by his wife and children, but his grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Schools, Sacred Heart School, or Sigel St. Michael School Building Fund.
