He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Costion and Stella Costion; his former wife Lynda Costion; and his brother Paul Costion. He is survived by: his wife Gerda Costion; his sons, John Costion (Roberta) and Dan Costion (Alisa); his stepdaughters, Sharon Berger and Holly Clancy; his sisters, Kathy Bearbower (Dave), JoAnn Marchiori (Michael), Mary Ann Nicometl (late Charles) and Pamela Moore; his grandchildren, Jack, Jase Costion, Brianna Meadows, Tyler, Kallen Vernick, Alex Berger, Matthew Cacic, Cassidy, Marek, Seamus and Teagan Clancy; and his sister-in-law Patricia Costion.
Facemasks will be required, and social distancing will be observed. Funeral services with military honors by the United States Navy will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
