It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald J. Young of Shorewood, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Robert L. Young; and his grandparents, Edward, Irene Young, James and Rose Marietta.

He is survived by: his mother Sandy Young; his brothers, Jim (Julie), John (Anna) and Joel Young (Ami); and his nieces and nephews, Bailey Young, Ali McLaurin (Coleman), Tori Young, Lauren Werth, Sara Lopez, Jon Michael Young, Abigail Young and Addison Young. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
