He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Joseph and Bessie Malfatti; his sister Marlene Hosang; his daughter Laura Belsanti; and his granddaughter Lisa Coleman.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Malfatti; his daughter Fran Smego; his grandsons, Patrick Coleman (Carlyn) and Michael Smego (Megan); his great grandchild Jackson Coleman; and his nieces, Ruth Phillips and Denise Hoerler.
