She was predeceased by: her husband Chester Szymczak; her daughter Kelly Huhnke; her parents, Clifford Oberleitner (Elizabeth Oberleitner) and Elizabeth Pulaski; her brother Clifford Oberleitner Jr.; her parents-in-law, Virginia Sittner and Edward Szymczak; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Cargill (David).
She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Gimbel (Bill); her grandchildren, Brian Gimbel (Sarah), Jennifer Meredith (John Blackburn), Margaret Gimbel (Steve Ellis), Benjamin Huhnke, Katrina Huhnke (Rico Santos) and Mollie Huhnke (Jason Castillo); her great grandchildren, William, Jacob Gimbel, Dominic, Anthony Meredith, Ava, Liam and Charli Santos; her sister Sandie Mantas (Pete); and her sister-in-law Judy Slobodzian (Mike). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Elizabeth's memory to either St. Joseph Catholic Church or Joliet Animal Control.
