With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald J. Breen of Shorewood, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2023 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Celia Breen and Keyron Breen; his wife Jeanette Breen; and his siblings, Howard, Grant, Keyron, Joseph Breen, Winifred McEvilly and Mary Korst.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Lorenz (Steve) and Susan Fritz (James); his grandchildren, Marjorie Lorenz (Erika), Matthew Lorenz (Jackie), Amy Fritz (Mark Prosser) and Lisa Fritz; his friend Mark Huston; and his caregivers, Melba and Junie. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the Will County Veterans Assistance Commission, 2400 Glenwood Avenue, Joliet, IL 60435.
