We are sad to announce that on April 18, 2022, at the age of 87, Carl Andrew Sowa of Shorewood, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sowa and Rose Sowa (Swiersz); his son Gary Sowa; his sister Virginia Lesnik; and his brother-in-law Lud Lesnik.
He is survived by: his wife Bonita Bortoli Sowa; his daughters, Annelise Rakoczy-Sowa and Roxanne Hatting; his grandson Quentin Sowa; his stepdaughters, Debra Harper (Eugene), Cindy Smuda, Holly Peeples (Terrance) and Tina Robanske; his stepgrandchildren, Devyn, Emily Robanske and Julia Walaszek; and his nieces, Mari-Ellen Robinson, Leanne Peterson (Thomas), Lisa Howell (Charles) and Sandra Malone (Scott).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Church of St Jude in Joliet or Lightways Hospice would be appreciated.
